Hi there — I’m Chris

I’m the Conversion Alchemist.

I help B2B SaaS, tech, and complex-offer teams find message-market fit and turn unclear, fuzzy messaging into copy their buyers resonate with and convert from.

My story

From software engineering to messaging and copywriting.

10+ Years software engineering
Former UX Lead at Zeda Labs & Conversion Crimes
Circa 2016 10+ years of B2B messaging and copy
50+ B2B teams helped through our work

My career started as a software engineer in industrial automation, which taught me everything about the importance of systems thinking, usability, and putting yourself in your users’ shoes.

In 2016, I transitioned into conversion copywriting and then ventured toward user experience design and conversion research. As UX Lead at Zeda Labs and Conversion Crimes, a usability testing startup, I spent years watching people get confused, ignore important details, or convert through the right paths — hundreds and hundreds of usability testing studies that made me geek out about buyer psychology and user behavior.

Conversion Alchemy came from that intersection: technical complexity, buyer psychology, UX, and copy. I wanted to build the messaging and conversion copywriting studio that wasn’t around — one where every single decision is based on data, with the ultimate goal of helping buyers make the right choice and helping businesses make more money in the process.

Outside the client work, I write a weekly newsletter, host a bi-weekly podcast for messaging and copy nerds, and, in the past, sold Concrete Surfers — a content website about e-skating and urban movement. Off the clock, I play drums, play basketball, meditate with Vipassana, love tattoos, and proudly own a 2013 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392: a nightmare to drive in the UK, but so much fun.

How we help clients

We turn unclear value into a message buyers can see, believe, and repeat.

At Conversion Alchemy, we work with B2B SaaS, tech, and complex-offer companies that are getting lost in the crowd and can’t show why they’re the obvious choice. They usually do not need “more words.” They need the message underneath the words to finally click.

01

Break down the message

We find where buyers are getting lost: unclear positioning, weak proof, scattered claims, confusing offers, or conversion paths that make people work too hard.

02

Turn the mess into insight

We combine buyer research, voice of customer, UX thinking, decision psychology, and market context so the message is grounded in what buyers actually need to understand.

03

Crystallize it into copy

Then we turn the strategy into website copy, messaging systems, and GTM assets your team can use without translating the value from scratch every time.

Our values

How we operate across every single project.

Attention to detail

Attention is increasingly commodified. We protect ours and our clients’ — paying attention to both the tiny details and the big picture so the work compounds.

Extreme ownership

When something goes wrong, we look at what we could have done differently — even on your side of the line. Owning the whole process, not just our piece, is the standard.

Discipline equals freedom

From research to the attention put into every single word — we are meticulous about doing it right. The fear of the blank page is just an excuse for not getting to work.

Lead by example

We study your business as closely as possible so we can wear your shoes — with the added benefit of an outside perspective and no “curse of knowledge.”

Human-AI partnership

We treat AI as an extension of the creative toolbox. Humans stay in the loop, the work gets sharper, and the speed benefit gets passed back to the client.

Love for the craft

We are not a large agency, and we are not optimizing for an exit. We read, write, and host conversations about this work every week — because the craft is the point.
